HR Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Human Resources Manager to provide leadership and support to our organization.  As a critical member of the site management team, the hands-on HR Manager we hire for our Independence, Oregon non-union cabinet assembly operation will help set strategic direction for Plant HR operations and implement initiatives to meet the strategy.  Specific responsibilities include: As a valued business partner, assist with site planning and provide strategic counsel to other plant leadership. Maintain and promote effective relationships, implement procedures and provide guidance to line management. Provide employees with on-going employee relations support and training. Evaluate standards of performance for the site and their employees. Interpret and enforce policies and provide counsel as warranted. Implement and maintain systems and processes that ensure a ready leadership and talent supply to meet changing business needs. Recruit talent for hourly, non-exempt and some exempt positions. Continuously evaluate and promote policies, procedures and communications systems aligned with company strategy, mission and values. Play an integral role in plant safety including maintaining and enforcing regulations, providing safety training and development and auditing and assessing safety performance. Embrace and strive to continuously enhance employee engagement. Responsible for provision of engagement program. Oversee, mentor, and develop an HR Generalist. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related discipline required, with an advanced degree and/or PHR/SPHR certification a definite plus. 5+ years of HR generalist experience essential, which includes strategic HR experience. At least 2 years' prior experience managing direct reports required. Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.  Union experience preferred. Solid plant safety background and experience is strongly preferred. Workers' compensation experience also preferred. Continuous improvement mindset essential. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts. Must be willing to be mobile to progress your career within Elkay. REQ-012477

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
